Hi, I’m Leslie, the creator behind ThatmakescentsCo, a small business based in San Francisco. I started this brand in 2021 with the idea of turning memories into scent. Growing up in a Mexican American household, so many of my favorite moments were tied to smells. The aroma of sweet drinks, fresh fruit, flowers, and the comforting scents of home. I wanted to recreate those experiences through candles and home fragrances that feel nostalgic and meaningful.

Each product I create is thoughtfully made and often features custom blended fragrances that you won’t find anywhere else. I love experimenting with scent combinations and naming my products in ways that tell a story. Some of my collections are inspired by my culture, while others are inspired by the neighborhoods of San Francisco, with each candle representing a different part of the city.

What started as a simple idea has grown into something much bigger than I imagined. I run ThatmakescentsCo alongside my full time job, pouring my creativity and heart into every product I make. My goal is to create scents that bring comfort, spark memories, and make people feel connected to a moment, a place, or a feeling.
